Long belated post...

P.B. says...

Here I am, staring at the computer in vain, doing my best to make up a proper post from my limited vocabulary. Right, vocabulary isn't the problem. It's because I'm uncreative. I could sit in front of a computer for 40 minutes, and still not even have a simple paragraph typed down. Okay, it probably takes so long because I'm playing computer games at the same time I'm trying to cook up a post; but it would still take me a good 20 to 30 minutes to write something.

Anyway, I'm not here to rant away about how stupid I am. I'm here because I wrote something like '...you can be expecting something from me after I come back(from the trip)', and what do you know? Three weeks passed without me posting anything! No excuses or reasons why I didn't post, I'll just get on with it.

So here are the best pictures we've got. We hardly took any photos on this trip and the ones that we have are quite junky. Blame that on Mom or our stubborn will that won the camera over!

At Tazawako.

Granny teaching us how to make a fire.

It's nothing compared to Sam's photography, but this is one of Mom's best.

This trip, we stayed home all day, watching movies, and taking naps and watching some more movies; the best way to spend a vacation. We did go out camping at Tazawako, though, and me, nonny, and Yuya had a swim in the lake. All in all, this trip was a relaxing one, and a one we all enjoyed to the full. Oh, and before I go, let me just list the movies we watched.

*Titanic.
We watched the shorter version. I still don't understand why 'Wose threw the necklace into the sea.

*Transporters.
We were thinking about watching Moulin Rouge, but we wouldn't watch another Drama, so we decided on this.

*The Notebook.
Everyone cried on this one(I and Yuya excluded).

Akita Trip

P.B. says...

We will be going to Akita tomorrow and would be back by the 21st. I'm so happy that Boris will still be coming with us, even when all the other older brothers and sisters have abandoned us(shame on you!!). Well, I suppose it is okay traveling with only a few for a change. It makes it easier for everyone―More oxygen and space in the car, and makes moving more faster. Besides, Granny's cottage isn't big enough to house all of us.

Anyway, I think I wouldn't be able to post during our trip. We're going to bring the internet connection thingie there, but not so sure if it would work, but you can be expecting something about our trip after I come back.

That's about it. Mom and my good older sis is banging me over the head...
Good night. gtg...

Rufus

P.B. says...

One rainy night, a stray cat came to our house, crying its head off. I gave him some fish to keep him quiet, then, what do you know...he came the night after that and the next and the next, crying away. So now he stays all day on our front door, in hopes of someone to pity him and give him some food. Well,he never gets disappointed and that 'someone' happens to be me. I claimed him as my pet cat, and even named him after one of my favorite actors―Rufus.

There were some suggestions of calling him Puss in boots, or Berúthiel( from The Unfinished Tales, The istari, Notes, who kept 10 cats as her slaves), but really, it would sound too odd if I called him 'puss' or 'beru' after the psycho Queen, so I'll just stick with Rufus.

Well, that's all from Icthus home. See you all later...

At Icthus home

P.B. says...

Recently, we are watching 低燃費少女ハイジ everyday. We laugh our heads off! This one is our favorite!

We also watched the mask of Zorro and the Fall(a movie that I enjoyed a lot), and I've just started reading the Mediator series.

Aside from that, I started making cards again.

And this is my poor, ugly toenail, that is peeling off. Grooooossss.....

Anyway, We're all drawing recently, so stay tuned to our Art blog. Yuya is now drawing Anne Hathaway, and I'm trying to draw Natalie Portman. Well, I'm running out of time, so see you all later. ;)

Finally

Prodigal blogger says...

Mrs. Horse-tail is no more, thanks to Boris who did an amazing job at cutting the 'hard to handle' and 'slippery' hair. I finally became bored of Mom pounding me over the head for not 'fixing' my hair up, and of Boris' threats of bobbing my hair at night. Besides, I was quite tired of having to sweep it forward before going to W.C., and my hair getting all tangled up in the morning.

So here's a pic, Eiko, of me being a good girl and writing a blog post.

Aside from Boris cutting my hair, I've been reading Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde. I can't say much about it because I'm not finished with it, but so far so good, quite interesting, esp. the 13th chapter. No, 'interesting' doesn't really fits the chapter well, but it's much too late to search in the thesaurus for adequate words.

So, Good night. Hope japan wins at world cup....

A report to Eiko...

Akari says...

Dear Eiko,
*I am NOT being a good girl as I am supposed to be.
*Mom is making us eat weeds from our back yard(if you remember, Eiko, Our back yard smells like the sewers).
*Our vegetables are rotting.
*Daddy stopped drinking Coffee!!
*We watched Blades of Glory and Gattaca.
*Boris is making us write essays.
*The teachers(that includes you, Eiko) being gone, I skipped P.E., and instead browsed the Internet. I stumbled upon something very amusing and slightly disturbing. See the video below.

P.S. the video below is NOT for sensitive viewers.

Yup, it's Evgeni Plushenko when he was still 18, the 2001 world championships exhibition.
I hope you like it.

Camp...

Akari says...

Yuya and Ai said that they made up their minds concerning this year's camp. They are going. No way around, no questions.
In fact, they already sent their application form with their name on it. B'Gadz!

As for me, I can't possibly go,(no way!) nope, can't possibly go without them. It's impossible! I can't stand staying home all by myself, even if I don't have friends at camp. No Wayz! So yes, I will be going...AGAIN!! I'm just going for my sanity, though. Just because I can't stand even a few days without them. But at the same time, I might go nuts and crackers with all those people. I'm not good with large crowds and I tend to stay in the corner; I'm not a social person, and all those people makes me tired. Anyway, there's no use in me raving about it now; the application form is already sent, and I bet they're checking it by now.

My expectations of this year's camp is low, as usual, shan't make it high, else I'll get disappointed. I'm expecting that there'd be...

*2 dance nights
*7hours straight of games and fellowship
*2 hours of word time

This is my lowest expectations, my highest expectations would be the EXACTLY opposite of what I listed above. Such as...

*No dance nights; it's replaced with school
*7 hours of Word time
*Free time
*More free time, and fellowship with Ai and Yuya

But if this became true, it wouldn't be a 'Camp'. It wouldn't be much of a change; camps are all about change, and getting out of your way and having 'fellowship' with people you don't know.

Riiiight.

But so far, no good. The walls are thick around me, and besides, it feels much comfortable being inside than out.

I wonder what my former teacher would say to me if she was here... she'd probably give me a good sermon and give me an assignment―she'd give me a word study on 'shyness i-ness' or 'boldness' or something. Princess Pei-Pei on the other hand, I'd think she would pull me out on a 'walk' and talk about the situation over juice or something.
Not saying that the former is better than the latter or that the latter is better than the former.

I don't care.

PERIOD.

Akari says...

I just realized that we hardly post any pictures of our rooms...I think it's high time to post some.

Our(Ai, yuya, me, and Nonny's) loft.
Don't you think it's time Yuya gets his own room?
Bathroom/Dad's officeNow I won't have any worries about food, even if you (Eiko) go for another trip...Boris is just as good as you are!

Sorry I couldn't post so many pictures. Mom and Boris didn't give me permission to post their rooms...Anyway, I have to excuse myself as it is 10 o'clock...Already!

Report to Princess Pei Pei

Akari says...

When I heard that Eiko was visiting this blog even when she was over at Lim Home(she may be at HCS now), I decided to write this post to inform her of what I and others are up to.

Well, I started/finished reading Count of Monte Cristo, and am starting on The Three Muskateers.
Also, Dad got an i phone,
And we didn't do school for 2 days (going to junky museums) which makes your scoring much easier.
Boris told me to post that 'yuriko still doesn't miss you' or something of the sort...? (Boris: It's a joke...sort of)
We watched 'Cloudy with a chance of meat balls.
We also got some Muesli and Ai made some baked oats for us(she would've made some for you too, if you were here...hint hint).
Yuriko taught us a new word,'Frenemies' it means enemies posing as friends...?
Boris told me that we would have something yummy before you come home.
Nonny and I are stealing cookies from Mom's box while she's not looking.

Besides that, not much is note worthy, and Mom is now showing us an interesting documentary so I'm going now. I love you tonz Eiko...Come back to us as soon as you can...

Favourite movie...

Akari says...

I don't think I don't have any favourite movie.
We watched 'cloudy with a chance of meat balls' last night. We couldn't stop laughing. When I was watching it and I thought this would certainly be my favourite movie, but thinkng about it now, maybe not.

The other(comedy) movies I like are...

*Star dust

*Pink Panther

*Shanghai noon

*Princess Bride

*Prince Valiant

...Okay, thinking back on the other movies, 'cloudy with a chance of meat balls' is certainly not going to be at the top of my list...no, I really can't pick out a single movie and say, "This is the best movie I've seen so far."
There are so many movies I can still think of that I like, but then, the list would be endless...Oh, no It won't be endless. It's just going to be a waste of time.

Thinking of time, it's already 9:30, and I have to go to sleep now.
I'll have to be in bed by 10. So, good night.

Our bread maker

Akari says...

We get to have fresh bread almost everyday, thanks to the new bread-maker that bakes all by itself. 'All by itself' is, that you don't have to knead the dough, but dump all the ingredients inside the machine, and well, after a few hours, the bread comes out. It can bake all sorts of things, like, french bread, nan, pizza crust, and cake too. There are also spinach bread, and carrot bread that we have not yet baked (I hope to keep it that way).

Apple cake that Ai (or the bread-maker) baked

What's wrong with Carrots?

Akari says...

Eiko and Boris are not eating their carrots. Boris told me that carrots does 'something to over 15-year-old females'.

"Exactly what do they do?"

"I'll tell you when you're over 15."

"But I'll forget by then!"

"That's the point."

The woes of being under aged.

But what could they do to you but good?
Give you a gassy stomach? Or do they minus a few minutes from you life span? Or do they turn your skin colour to orange? Or worse yet, Do they eat away at your intestines, leaving you only with a few bones and skin stretched over it?
I doubt it. They(teachers, Parents, brothers, sisters, including you, Eiko!) told me from when I was a toddler that they do the opposite of what I just listed above.

I was hoping that, if I post about this, Eiko or Boris would tell me, but just in case they wouldn't tell me, I would like to request that, if you know why they are avoiding carrots, to please tell me.
Thank you!

Answer to Eiko's thought provoking questions

Akari says...

What she asks me these days..."Don't you have any opinion?" and "Why don't you have inspiration for posting(blogging)?"
I'm quite sure she already knows the answer, but really, this topic is the only thing that I have to blog about.

Anyway, I'm quite sure I have an opinion, just too lazy to tell it. The easiest answer for me is to have a stupid grin and say, "I don't know." Eiko gets disturbed when I answer like that because she's afraid if I have become a brainless zombie, or because she can't decide what to read for morning devotions. ;)

And how can I have inspiration for posting when I hate it? That's a lie. I don't hate posting. I'm just terrible at verbalizing my thoughts and emotions, thus making me frustrated, and frustration without fail, drains my inspiration. This may be the reason why I'm not posting so regularly. I'm the opposite of Eiko,(obviously) who posts almost everyday because posting is relaxing for her. Although I may have times when I want to post, those are very rare occasions.

Eiko is continually trying her best to get my inspiration back, but it's not really working. Oh well, at least she made me to post this one. ehehe

Rising, Sun and Moon

Akari says...

We recently looked up all of our rising, sun and moon. The pdf's first 3 pages have a lot of weird graphs, but the next 2 pages are pretty interesting. Some of the things on the pdf doesn't apply to us, but most of it explains us too well.

Eiko

Cute, but Naughty

Akari says...

We've been seeing this wild bird around our house. He's cute, but he's naughty. He's pooping all over our car. I have no idea what kind of bird this is, so if you happen to know this type, please tell us.

Snow

Akari says...

I like snow. It makes everything look nicer than it actually is. It's rare to have such nice snow in Tokyo. But I was rather horrified when I heard Nonny say someting like,
"Look, someone's dropping dandruff from the sky!"
Nonny,Dad, Yuya and I went outside to have a good snow fight. We couldn't make any snowmen because it was powder snow.It was soo much fun.

Christmas Morning

Akari says...

Our Christmas tree looked extra nice and inviting with all the wrapped presents underneath, especially so because today is Christmas and we can finally rip off the wrappings and enjoy the presents.
But before we opened the presents, we first ate the chocolate-chip scones that Eiko made for us, and we read a few Christmas stories on Mama Online. It made me forget about the presents for the time being but as soon as the stories ended, I felt like wiggling out of m y chair to get a hold of my presents, totally forgetting whose birthday it actually was.
Anyway, afer the prayer, we kids ventured slowly towards the mountain of presents.
When almost all of the presents were gone, I decided that this was the time to give Ai her present. Before we left TOM Home, Yuya and I decided to give a secret present to Ai. IT's a book called 'The Silmarillion'. She always wanted this book and I think my best present was seeing Ai's shocked expression when she opened thge present. This present was better than my new pair of boots and my ne MP3 put together!!
I will let Eiko post about the dinner because she made it and it's almost time to watch our movie.
I hope everyone had a merry Christmas!

We're moving!!

Akari says...
This is finally the end of all postponing. We're going to move to our new home tomorrow and I'm so excited.
I scrubbed the oven today and I bet it wasn't cleaned for 5 years. It was caked with hardened grese and oil, and it took me and A.Maria at least an hour to clean it. But that task had to be done because the oven was the landlady's, and I don't think she would be too happy to see it in that condition.
Anyway, We're all quite tired and are ready for some good sleep. I'm soo sorry this blog post is short. There's no internet conection over there so we have to buy an e-mobile. Till then, well, no posts.
And now, I have to pack the computer so I have to go. Bye!
