Haircut...

Akari says...
One night, for no apparent reason, I couldn't sleep and, knowing that trying to sleep is one of the worst things you can do, went to Yuriko's room for some fellowship time...but it was not to be.
After I explained that I couldn't sleep, Yuriko thought for a moment or so, then said, "I'll help you sleep. Do you have any scissors?"I answered that I haven't and asked what her intentions were, and she said, " I'm going to cut you bangs!"
Memories of when I had bangs are, by no means, pleasant. I can't stand looking at the bob-cut I had when I was 4 years old. For me, the idea of cutting bangs is horrifying.
The cutting started and ended very quickly.
I hurried to the mirror and was relieved to see that it wasn't a 4 year old, bob-cut girl staring back at me. It was the same old me, perhaps looking a little distorted, but it was me all right.
Well, to my surprise, It did help me go to sleep. Maybe I got tired because of all the protesting I did. Oh, well, all's well that ends well.
Any way, I better go now.
(so sorry I don't have any pics.)

Eiko!!

Akari says...
I miss Eiko!! I miss the word times with her most. I don't know if I will be able to stand for another week. She is able to phone us, though. She says that so far, she's doing pretty good and that FDTP is fun and they got to watch a movie, 'Guardian'.
Anyway, the adults are very busy because of the upcoming convention for the Active members. I don't want to go there, but unfortunately, I don't have a choice.
I think you already know about the blog about FDTP, but just in case you don't, I linked up to it, so you can see the pictures.
Please pray for our home, the adults are very busy(as I have mentioned before) because of the convention. Thank you for your prayers.

Dress up!!

We say...
Akari:Activity night…I like activities but not this type..."A waste of time and energy"…or so I thought. My usual take on Dress ups was by no means positive...the whole wardrobe getting flipped through and through and getting messed up, having to try this item of clothing and that, smudging my face with make up(I HATE make up), and making my own hair, is just really stressful (that is because my hair is so long) I thought dress ups were just boring, but I was mistaken. It was actually really fun. It was My first Dressing-up night in a long time that was enjoyable. Actually, none of my teachers flipped through my wardrobe nor did I have to make my hair, as you can see in the pictures. They did put some make up on me though but it was an 'okay' amount of make up, and so I didn't mind.

Eiko: I used to hate dress up nights as much as Akari, if not more so, but time and age do strange things to you, and I'm able to enjoy a dress up night with much less fuss and fuming. This particular JT activity night was exceptionaly exciting and enjoyable. I wasn't so sure how "Dress Up Night" would sit with the teens, as they usually make quite a scene when it comes to dressing up for almost anything. But strangely enough, they actually put there all into it this time, and I think we can all agree that we had one hellofa blast! Enjoyed every bit of it! There were no poopers at our party this time! Whoopie!
Ken organized some games, I made a desert, and we all got dressed up! Chooo omoshirokatta yo!

But don't you just dig our costumes? This is what Halloween was suppose to be like! It was spanking fun!
